Destie
In short: Destie doesn't collect personal data.
- No account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking.
- Your lists, cards and study history stay on your iPhone.
- The app never connects to a server of ours. We don't have one.
Who we are
Destie is made by Emre Akdas, an independent developer in Türkiye ("we", "us"). We are responsible for this policy. For anything about your privacy, write to hello@destie.dev.
What Destie keeps, and where
To work, Destie keeps the following on your device only, in the app's own private storage:
- the lists and cards you write;
- your study history: which cards you rated, how, and when;
- your daily goal, reminder setting, theme and similar settings.
Destie's widgets show a small summary (cards waiting, your streak, today's goal). The app hands it to them through storage shared between the app and its widgets, on the same device.
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or to a computer, Destie's data is part of that backup, which Apple's privacy policy and your own settings cover.
What we collect
Nothing. Destie contains no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising code, doesn't use your advertising identifier, and makes no network requests.
If you have chosen in your iPhone's settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give us crash reports and usage statistics in anonymous, aggregated form. That is up to you and Apple; we can't tell who you are from it.
Notifications
Reminders are local notifications. Destie plans them on your iPhone from your own data; nothing goes through a server, and there are no push notifications. You can turn them off in Destie's Settings or in iOS Settings at any time.
When you write to us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you, keep it no longer than needed for that, and delete it whenever you ask.
This website
destie.dev uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party fonts or scripts. Our host, Cloudflare, handles the technical data any website receives, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and keep the site safe, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Children
Destie is suitable for all ages. Since it collects nothing, it collects nothing from children either.
Your rights
Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws, you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. In practice, the only such data we could hold is an email you sent us. Your Destie data is already in your hands: deleting a list removes it, and deleting the app removes everything.
You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Türkiye the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK), in the EU or UK the authority where you live.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If Destie ever starts collecting anything, this page will say so before the update that does it ships.
